Everything you need to cover Stephcynie.
Official Bio
Stephcynie was born in Austin, Texas, and raised in Houston. She began writing songs at age nine and became serious about her musical education early. In high school she auditioned for the Houston School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) but was not accepted on her first try — she couldn't sight read. She took piano lessons, learned how, and auditioned again the following year, and was accepted. She would go on to become the only vocalist in her high school's jazz theory class. She was later selected for the Houston Grand Opera High School Voice Studio, where her classical training was formalized.
Stephcynie moved to New York for college, and spent much of her early singing career there as a praise team member at World Changers Church New York while performing at night venues around the city. She later relocated to Nashville, where she began working full-time as a background vocalist and wedding singer. It was in Nashville that she was introduced to sync writing and earned her first Netflix placement.
Since then, Stephcynie has performed and toured with some of the most respected names in music, playing shows across six continents and in countless cities along the way. She has been featured on Billboard.com. Her live shows are big and highly produced, with reviewers comparing her sets to those of Lizzo and Lady Gaga.
She now lives in Seattle, and every city she has called home has shaped the music she makes. Her sound fuses her classical training, her jazz background, and the songwriting instincts she has been developing since she was nine, and it doesn't fit neatly into any one genre or category. She has released two EPs and several singles.
The résumé speaks for itself. So does the voice.

The conceptual storytelling and overall production were particularly well-crafted, giving her performance a big-stage feel. A superstar in the making.

You'd be hard pressed to have found a better example of the light in an otherwise dark and distressing day and age than Stephcynie.
Nashville Scene
The overall experience of her set really reminded us of a Lizzo or Lady Gaga concert. Show-stopping, uplifting, unforgettable.
