Born to entrepreneurial parents who dabbled in everything from acting, modeling, and tech ventures, Stephcynie is no stranger to the unpredictable, passionate, hard working journey that pursuing your own dream entails. She consistently aims to find the delicate balance between musicality and simplicity. Her music speaks about life’s issues, which has universal appeal. Like her own life, her music mimics bad and good seasons that always ends in victory.
Her first horrific encounter happened during her senior year in high school, when a college student texting on his cell phone, caused a three car collision resulting in severe head trauma for her beloved dad and mentor. It altered her family forever, but her mother refused to allow the accident to define them. That strength and determination became a model for her own future challenges. Life will continue and you must choose how you will respond to it. That is what defines Stephcynie and the music she creates.
In spite of everything, Stephcynie has risked it all to stay true to her artistry and passion as she defies musical boundaries. Having performed with iconic artists such as Grammy, Oscar & Tony Award winner Christopher Cross, the legendary John Oats (Hall & Oats), Maren Morris, Hunter Hayes and upcoming sensation, Lauren Alaina. Stephcynie is a graduate of New School Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC, where she earned a BFA in Jazz Vocal Performance.
