Stephcynie has been Billboard.com-featured, heard on Netflix, and writing songs since she was nine. That last part matters most.
Growing up, her father — her mentor — was nearly killed in a car crash that left him with a traumatic brain injury. She watched her mother hold the family together through it and refuse to let hardship be the thing that defined them. That's where the writing comes from.
Her voice is hard to pin down, which is the point. Classically trained with jazz in her foundation and soul at the core — she has an instinct for the emotional center of a song that goes well beyond technique. She has performed across six continents and shared the stage with some of the biggest artists in country music.
